Job Description

The role of Compliance Branch within the Australian Government plays a pivotal part in ensuring adherence to foreign investment laws. As an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for fostering confidence and providing assurance of compliance with the foreign investment framework.

  • Conduct proactive and responsive compliance activities to assess compliance with Australia's foreign investment laws.
  • Investigate potential non-compliance and assess compliance reports for purposes of evaluation.
  • Analyse data to identify compliance trends and develop internal guidance and procedures to support best practice compliance operations.

As a key member of the team, you will work independently, managing concurrent compliance tasks, projects or investigations. You will also be responsible for developing policies, procedures and systems to support the lawful exercise of compliance and enforcement powers.
