Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Regulatory Compliance Specialist to manage our compliance framework and ensure regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ASIC.
  • Provide trusted compliance advice across teams on AFSL and Corporations Act matters.
  • Lead horizon scanning and regulatory change management to ensure timely communication and implementation of updates.
  • Enhance the regulatory compliance framework by focusing on monitoring and measuring non-financial crime regulatory risk.
  • Oversee breach reporting processes to guarantee timely and accurate submissions to regulators.
  • Manage complaint handling processes in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Design and deliver targeted compliance training informed by risk assessments.
  • Prepare clear and concise reporting and insights for senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • A strong background in regulatory compliance within financial services, preferably in payments or remittance.
  • Experience working with or within an organisation holding an AFSL is highly desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory obligations under ASIC and APRA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in working with various stakeholders.
  • A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to find workable solutions and drive continuous improvement.
  • The capacity to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to collaborate with teams in other locations.
