Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander - AOD Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander AOD Case Manager to join our team at the Sunrise Centre.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate individual and group sessions, case meetings, and advocacy.
- Provide warm referrals and collaborate with service providers and stakeholders.
- Support participants with appointments, treatment planning, and follow-ups.
- Contribute to cultural safety by sharing your knowledge with staff and building understanding.
- Carry out intake and assessments to identify each person's strengths and needs.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications in community services or a similar field, as well as demonstrated previous experience working in a similar position. They will also have in-depth knowledge of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and culture.
Salary and Benefits:This role offers a SCHADS Level 4 Award salary, as well as NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax-free) plus meals and entertainment benefits. The employee will also be eligible for an Employee Assistance Program, financial, retail, and lifestyle discounts and benefits, discounted health and fitness programs through Fitness Passport, up to 8 weeks leave per year through our purchase leave scheme, generous Parental Leave offering of 12 weeks, and up to 5 days paid leave per year to support a TSA program or activity.
