About the Role

Laing O'Rourke Rail Operations is expanding rapidly and requires experienced Rail Signalling Electrical Installers to fill multiple positions.

The successful candidates will be responsible for implementing signalling works across Sydney and surrounding areas, including major projects such as the Digital Systems project, Sydney Trains MSA projects, TAP Station Upgrade project, and More Trains More Services MTMS Stage 3 project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing signalling works in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards;
  • Collaborating with high-performance rail teams to achieve project goals;
  • Working weekends and night shifts as required;
  • Fulfilling safety requirements and protocols;
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment;
  • Providing training and guidance to new team members;
  • Compiling signalling packages for specific project works;
  • Installing trackside equipment;
  • Assisting with testing of signalling infrastructure;
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful, applicants must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • C Class Driver's Licence;
  • Construction Industry White Card;
  • Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW) with Licenced Sydney Trains Signal Electrical Installer (SEI);
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Certificate of Competency on both Sydney Trains and ARTC networks as a signal electrical installer;
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including Rail CAT Specific medical & drug and alcohol screening;
