Job Description

We are seeking a Casual Library Support Professional to join our Learning Resources Department at our school. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient and welcoming service within the school community.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for literacy and education in a school context, with strong ICT skills and a willingness to learn innovative technologies. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with students, staff, parents, and suppliers to provide an efficient and welcoming service
  • Establishing and/or monitoring day-to-day systems and workflows in consultation with library team members
  • Familiarity with automated library systems and procedures
  • Providing Information Desk duty at lunchtime, after school, and during class visits
  • Monitoring and assisting students in the library and supporting research activities
  • Contributing to library activities, displays, and promotions in a collaborative manner
Requirements

A degree or diploma qualification in Librarianship or Library and Information Management is preferred.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Working With Children Check and hold current First Aid Qualifications.
