Lead the Future of Tailings & Mine Waste Engineering

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our high-performing team in tailings and mine waste management, driving growth and shaping the future of the industry.

  • Represent the Asia-Pacific region within a globally connected team of more than 100+ tailings and mine waste engineers.
  • Influence strategy, innovation and growth across a thriving regional business.
  • Provide technical leadership and deliver projects with impact, supported by a collaborative, technically competent, forward-thinking team.
  • Work flexibly from any location in the Asia-Pacific region, backed by SLR's strong platform of 23+ offices and 1,000+ staff in the region.

About the Role:
  • Growing and strengthening the team through strategic recruitment and the continued development of our high-performing national practice.
  • Inspiring and guiding regional team leaders and senior professionals across multiple states, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Managing group financial performance through resource management with the Engineering & Design group administration team, team leaders and other technical discipline managers within the Engineering & Design service line.
  • Overseeing the development of high-quality technical outputs, ensuring reports and deliverables meet SLR's standards and client expectations, on time and within budgets.
  • Developing, facilitating and enhancing relationships between our internal and external clients.
  • Contributing to winning work by identifying and converting opportunities and drawing on your existing client relationships.
  • Providing advice and assistance to internal and external clients, team members and Project Manager's on projects regarding best principles and practices.
  • Leading and managing your own projects, applying your deep technical knowledge and project management capability to deliver meaningful outcomes.
