We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Deputy Head of Boarding.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential, pastoral care or school leadership, with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

They will be able to provide effective coaching and management of staff, as well as maintain high standards of student wellbeing, discipline and academic engagement.

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations and strategic development of the boarding house.
  • Support the Head of Boarding in managing staff, rosters and Boarding House routines.
  • Provide pastoral care, mentoring and guidance to students.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful boarding culture aligned with the School's values.
  • Build strong relationships with families and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Run excursions and in-house activities during the weekends, including transporting students in the school minibus.

This position is predominantly term time only, including public holidays. Additional shifts will be required during school holiday periods to be mutually agreed.

The successful candidate will possess current WWCC, National Police Check and First Aid qualifications, as well as a working knowledge of Child Protection, National Minimum Standards for Boarding Provision ESOS Act and National Standards and Framework.

Cultural awareness and respect are essential in this multicultural environment.

A full driver's license and comfort in driving the school minibus is also required.

Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in residential, pastoral care or school leadership
