This role is dedicated to elevating academic achievement, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence, and ensuring that every student thrives in a dynamic and engaging learning environment.Beyond curriculum leadership, this role inspires and equips teaching staff to create classrooms where students are challenged, supported, and motivated to excel.
It champions high-impact teaching, professional growth, and collaboration, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Working closely with the broader School Teaching and Learning team, the Deputy Head of Campus - Head of Teaching and Learning PYP ensures that teaching practices reflect the Australian Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.This is an ongoing opportunity with a 5-year fixed term Position of Resposibiliity at our Malvern Campus.Key DutiesLead the implementation and delivery of the Australian Curriculum and PYP framework.
Maintain strategic alignment of campus priorities with the Innovative Learning Opportunities milestones of the school strategic plan.
Demonstrate and lead by example the ongoing development and review of productive and inclusive learning environments across all levels ELC-6.
Oversee the effective and efficient management of allocated PYP budget.
Apply co-ed teaching strategies and instructional coaching practices to develop engaging learning experiences.
Communicate regularly with families to support student learning outcomes and curriculum programs.
Develop and maintain effective strategies and procedures for staff induction into PYP, professional learning and staff development.
Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills And ExperienceExperience and exemplary teaching practice in PYP setting/s.
Demonstrated capacity and experience in leading teams.
Extensive and recent experience in IB PYP.
Understanding how students in our environment learn, grow, and develop.
Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis Management Qualifications.
Teaching Qualification and Post-Graduate Qualification focused on Learning Needs.
Hold a current VIT Registration.
