Join our team as a Senior Garment Technician.
About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment where you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality uniforms meet technical and compliance standards. As a Senior Garment Technician, you will lead the development of specifications and oversee the engineering lifecycle from tech pack to pre-production sample sign-off.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 8 years' experience in a technical and/or quality engineering role within apparel or textiles. You will have tertiary qualifications in Product Design, Garment Manufacturing, Engineering, or Apparel Development – or equivalent industry experience/apprenticeship (preferred). Your expertise in apparel construction, patterns, trims, and product development processes will enable you to create accurate specifications and support the team with technical expertise.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the development and delivery of accurate specifications from tech pack handover through to pre-production sample approval.
  • Establish and maintain systems and processes required to support all engineering activities.
  • Assign authority and support for configuration and engineering tasks across the team.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of tech packs and ensure correct trims selection to support manufacturing accuracy.
  • Request and review development samples, assess quality, fit, and compliance, and ensure early intervention where required.
  • Coordinate and participate in product fittings to ensure size, fit, and specification compliance.
  • Conduct and support risk assessments, product testing, and resolution of quality issues.
  • Represent the company in Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and ensure technical accuracy and documentation control.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship across the technical team, offering support on troubleshooting and best practice.
