Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at I-Pharm in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our Global Contract Research Organisation (CRO).
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare and submit financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide senior management with insights into the company's financial performance.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimise the company's financial position.
- Supervise and mentor a team of financial professionals, including accountants and analysts.
- Assess financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory authorities and tax authorities as required.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.
- Evaluate and recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
- Assist in financial due diligence for potential acquisitions or partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in Australia.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
