Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Specialist

A key role has become available within our organisation for a skilled Heavy Vehicle Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles and contribute to the success of our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers, and even armoured tanks.

We are looking for someone with strong technical skills and experience in heavy vehicle maintenance. A Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on complex mechanical issues and develop your problem-solving skills. You will also be part of a close-knit team who share your passion for working with heavy vehicles.

As a Heavy Vehicle Specialist, you will adhere to all regulatory requirements and contract-specific obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance tasks including inspection, classification, diagnostics, and repairs on Light, Medium, and Heavy Vehicles and Plant Equipment.
  • Completing service tasks on equipment during routine maintenance.
  • Replace or repair damaged and malfunctioning parts following inspections and effectively diagnose problems and perform work of a technical nature on a wide range of vehicles.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level.
  • Demonstrated experience on Heavy commercial vehicles.
  • Possess a MR, HR, or HC licence (desirable).
