Job Overview

This role involves working as both an Instrument and Circulating Nurse across a range of surgical specialities.

You'll be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of surgical setups, stock rotation, and the upkeep of surgeons' preference cards.

A typical week includes active participation in surgical procedures, maintaining high standards of infection control and safety, and contributing to smooth daily theatre operations.

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 12 months recent experience as an Instrument and Circulating Nurse
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced team
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with medical and senior staff
  • Positive, adaptable attitude and commitment to best practice
Work Environment

The Operating Suite comprises four operating theatres and runs on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Shifts are staggered between 0700 and 1930, ensuring variety and work-life balance.

Overtime is occasional, our on-call system operates Monday to Thursday in line with the NSW Nurses State Award, with an opt-in arrangement for non-working days.
