Surgical Nursing Opportunities

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our close-knit Surgical team at Belmont District Hospital. The successful applicant will gain exposure to a wide range of surgical patients, with flexibility to suit their lifestyle – part time and full-time options are available.

The General Surgery Unit is a dynamic and supportive environment where you will use your previous experience in surgical nursing to enhance patient care by being able to assess patients effectively and escalate their care as required. You will be supported by the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and Surgical Educator, with supernumerary days provided and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
  • Assess patients effectively and escalate their care as required
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Authority to Practice with AHPRA
  • Previous experience in surgical nursing
