About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Mine Water Management Operator to join our team at Rio Tinto. As a key member of our Mine Water Management/Dewatering Teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the safety culture and adhere to Rio Tinto's core values at all times
  • Install, move, and remove poly pipelines, feeder cables, diesel pumping systems, and associated plant (valving/control) for Open Cut Mining Operations
  • Diagnose basic pumping problems within the system
  • Install and remove bore pumps as part of a team
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures to ensure adherence at all times
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in and out of workshops and other areas to ensure a safe work environment and effectively manage risks
  • Work proactively and efficiently in a team environment
  • Perform general labouring and other tasks as required by the Supervisor
Requirements
  • Australian Driver's License (C-class) Manual
  • High Risk Work Licenses (LF, WP, DG, CN) - (preferred)
  • Commitment to health and safety
