We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing carer support services and delivering services purchased through iCare. Your primary responsibility will be to support our participants with daily activities and provide reliable, person-centred support.

• Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.">
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each participant.">
• Assist participants with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.">
• Support participants in maintaining their physical and emotional health, including managing medication and accessing healthcare services.">
• Encourage participants to engage in recreational activities, socialize with peers, and build meaningful relationships within the community.">
• Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.">
• Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.">
• Foster positive relationships with participants, families, and caregivers, promoting open communication and respect.">
• Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.">

• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory) or relevant experience.">
• A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle.">
• Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old] and Working with Children Check.">
• Manual handling training desirable.">
• Rights to work in Australia.">
• Experience working with young people or teenagers.">
• Willingness to work flexible hours on a fortnightly roster.">
• Availability and willingness to use personal smartphone (iPhone or Android).">
• Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.">
• NDIS Workers Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.">
