Job Summary

BESIX Infra is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organization of on-site construction staff, including subcontractors and their various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive company safety policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
  • Organize on a daily and weekly timeframe the sequencing of on-site activities, ensuring that subcontractors have access to their work face for materials and equipment, including the coordination of materials, equipment, personnel, and materials handling plant.
  • Assist the Site Manager and report on a daily basis on site activities that could result in points of delay, safety problems, industrial unrest, and take necessary action to avert problems.
  • In consultation with the Project Manager, allocate necessary site staff and resources and confirm that all resources for the project will be available when required.
  • Review the construction program with the Site Manager, resequencing activities as necessary to achieve the programmed completion date.
  • Ensure that the company's policies and practices on safety, industrial relations, and quality assurance are implemented and policed at the work face.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with standards and contract documents.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in building/construction or other recognized tertiary or trade qualification in a construction-related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven high level of professionalism, maturity, and candour in daily work ethic.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
