We are recruiting a full-time Senior Mental Health Consultant to join our team at MediPeople's Townsville Private Clinic.
Salary: $500,000 per annum
Job Overview:The successful candidate will work as a consultant psychiatrist in a private hospital setting, providing clinical management to patients and undertaking various responsibilities including:
- Taking new and existing referrals for admission to inpatient, day program and community outreach services
- Completing assessments and undertaking weekly multidisciplinary reviews and second opinion reviews
- Clinically managing patient loads in association with the multidisciplinary patient care team
- Providing coverage for colleagues' leave and working collaboratively with the team of consultant psychiatrists
- Complying with hospital policies and processes, including administrative requirements around clinical documentation
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Undertaking patient billable reviews
- Participating in second opinion reviews when required
- Working in partnership with onsite Consultant Psychiatrists
- Outpatient consultations for follow-up sessions and urgent admission reviews
- Opportunities for rTMS services and training
This role offers fully supported private practice work, which can be extended to consultants as an additional working option outside of contracted hours.
