Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team at Next Day Recruitment. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for working with our clients to design, implement, and maintain industrial automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and sales engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Electrical and control system upgrades: Design, configure, test, and commission electrical and control systems for industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Functional design of control systems: Develop and implement control systems that meet the needs of our clients.
  • PLC programming and fault finding: Program and troubleshoot PLCs to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Modification of HMI's: Update and modify Human-Machine Interfaces to meet changing client needs.
  • Interface PLC machinery with external networks: Integrate PLC-controlled machinery with external networks and auxiliary equipment.
  • Instrumentation upgrades and installation: Oversee the installation and upgrade of instrumentation systems.
  • Adhere to OH&S standards: Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety standards.
  • Effective communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification: Hold a tertiary qualification in Electrical, Software, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • PLC programming experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in PLC programming.
  • Intermediate to advanced level: Possess an intermediate to advanced level of PLC programming skills.
