Learning Support Assistant Role

About our school community.

We are a leading independent school serving the Port Stephens community, committed to developing students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. As part of our school community, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support the holistic care and welfare of our students.

  • Serve as an integral part of our school community, supporting students throughout various Primary classrooms.
  • Foster learning environments through facilitating small breakout groups to enhance student progression.
  • Record student support delivered using our Schools Student Information System.
  • Support students to integrate and connect with peers.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, flexibility, and collaboration with colleagues.

This part-time position will commence in the first term of the academic year.

About You:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of data collection and reporting.
  • You have an active Christian faith and regularly attend church.
