We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Wollongong, NSW.
This is a permanent position with a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing responsive user interfaces using React.js and Node.js.
- Building and maintaining RESTful APIs and network applications.
- Acting as a solution architect, contributing to system design, integration, and product scalability.
- Leading knowledge transfer and mentoring junior engineers, including training local staff as part of our workforce development program.
- Advising the executive team on platform architecture, product design, and technology roadmaps.
- Conducting research in AI and MedTech, translating outcomes into commercialised products.
- Ensuring all systems comply with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, AI, or related discipline.
- At least 5 years' professional experience in software engineering, including MedTech and digital health.
- Strong proficiency in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, REST APIs, AWS, Firebase.
- Experience with mobile app development (iOS and Android).
- Background in AI research leading to commercialised solutions.
- Experience working in start-up environments, large multinationals, and regional Australia.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and train others.
- Fluency in English.
Base salary of $85,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
Location: Wollongong, NSW (on-site).
