About This Role

Senior Physiotherapist Paediatrics

This is a highly rewarding and challenging role for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in providing high-quality care to children.

You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of patients with complex needs, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective treatment plans and improving patient outcomes.

This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, including supervision and education of junior staff and students.

  • Casework management: You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to manage a varied and dynamic caseload, ensuring seamless patient care and timely interventions.
  • Supervision and education: As a senior member of the team, you will have opportunities to provide guidance, support and mentoring to junior staff and students.
  • Research and quality improvement: We encourage participation in research projects and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Combined inpatient and outpatient position: Work within both paediatric outpatient space and 34-bed paediatric inpatient unit.
  • Management of complex caseloads: Provide high-quality care to children with diverse clinical needs across various areas, including rehabilitation, oncology, orthopaedics, cardiorespiratory and developmental disorders.
  • Collaboration and teamwork: Work as part of the broader multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and timely interventions.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
  • Registration/licences essential for this role must remain current at all times while employed.
