Teaching Excellence Specialist Role

The role of Teaching Excellence Specialist is designed to promote and implement high-quality teaching practices across the school.

As a key member of the school leadership team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and maintain a shared vision for effective teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in classroom practice, pedagogy, and curriculum planning, and will be responsible for leading and modelling best practice within the school community.

You will play a pivotal role in the provision of professional learning opportunities, providing evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform their development and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and model high-quality teaching practices across the school.
  2. Collaborate with the school leadership team to develop and implement whole-school improvement strategies.
  3. Design and deliver professional learning programs for teaching staff.
  4. Provide evidence-based feedback to inform staff development and effectiveness.
  5. Contribute to the development of a shared vision for effective teaching and learning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Highly skilled and experienced classroom practitioner.
  • Expertise in teaching and learning practice, pedagogy, and curriculum planning.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to design and deliver professional learning programs.
  • Experience in providing evidence-based feedback.
