About the Job- This is a pivotal position that sets the direction and delivers strategic objectives across our Insurance Operations team.
- The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in claims handling to support transformation projects and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
As a Technical Claims Manager, you will partner with senior leaders, industry experts, and cross-functional teams to build insurance capability, uplift knowledge across our business, and embed best practice across claims, underwriting, and our Insurance Claims Contact Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Drive strategic direction and continuous improvement initiatives across insurance operations.
- Lead and mentor teams, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
- Develop and implement best practice claims handling with a focus on improved outcomes and reduced duration.
- Partner with industry peers to strengthen our insurance capability and reputation as a thought leader.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and embed strong risk management practices.
- Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to deliver aligned, customer-first solutions.
- 5+ years' leadership experience in Life Insurance operations within large, complex organisations with a strong background in claims and/or underwriting in Life Insurance.
- Proven ability to lead change, manage ambiguity, and deliver transformation.
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
- Proven customer focus and a strategic mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
