Job Summary

The Role

Our operators are responsible for maintaining a wide variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, backhoes, rollers, and loaders. They also perform manual handling tasks and labouring duties as required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy plant machinery
  • Perform labouring duties and manual handling tasks
  • Work in various locations across the Shire, including remote areas
  • Maintain a safe working environment and correct manual handling techniques
Requirements
  • A competent and safe operator with experience in civil construction environments
  • A strong mechanical aptitude to identify faults in heavy plant and apply the correct maintenance or repair action
  • A results-focused individual with a strong work ethic and ability to contribute to a team environment
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
  • The physical ability to undertake manual handling and labouring tasks for extended periods in hot and humid conditions
