About the Role

As a Systems Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in defining and refining system requirements, participating in the development and delivery of operability-related features such as system health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and self-healing automation.

About The Team

The team provides high-caliber operational solutions and support for services within our regions. We deploy changes into isolated regions, monitor the results, and report any issues observed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operability-related features to ensure system reliability and efficiency
  • Improve operations management systems and processes to accommodate rapid growth in systems and traffic
  • Participate in design and execution of production acceptance tests and new hardware evaluations
  • Automate system health, maintenance tasks, and reporting systems
  • Resolve incidents occurring out-of-hours during on-call rotations
RequirementsBasic Requirements
  • Administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
  • Programming experience with modern languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Distributed systems experience at scale
