Job Opportunity: Cancer Planning and Evaluation Expert

The NSW Cancer Planning and Evaluation Lead plays a crucial role in implementing the NSW Cancer Plan strategy evaluation, assessing achievement of plan goals and target outcomes, and developing the next NSW Cancer Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the NSW Cancer Plan strategy evaluation to assess achievement of plan goals and target outcomes;
  • Use stakeholder engagement, emerging trends, and evidence to develop the next NSW Cancer Plan;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the plan;
  • Develop and implement evaluation frameworks and methodologies;
  • Provide high-level oral and written communication, interpersonal, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • Graduate qualifications in Public Health or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience and training;
  • Demonstrated achievements in implementing evaluation frameworks and methodologies, preferably in a system-wide health plan or complex program context;
  • Proven ability to use analytical, evaluation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to form recommendations and solutions;
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, preferably in a system-wide or government context;
  • Proven high-level oral and written communication, interpersonal, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Evaluation Experience:
