Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Senior Energy Lawyer. This is a 12-month contract position that offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects shaping Australia's energy future.

About the Role

As a Senior Energy Lawyer, you will provide strategic legal advice to mitigate risks and drive commercial outcomes for large-scale energy developments. You will also be responsible for drafting and negotiating key project documents, managing external legal counsel, and delivering training to internal teams.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Draft and negotiate key project documents.

  • Provide proactive, strategic legal advice to mitigate risks and drive commercial outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in energy, projects, or construction law (top-tier firm or in-house).
  • Demonstrated expertise in energy and projects development.
  • Extensive experience negotiating and drafting energy contracts.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a stakeholder-focused approach.
