Investment Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Investment Accounting Specialist to join our accounting and finance team.

  • Manage daily accounting operations for investment trusts and property portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and performance reports.
  • Process investment transactions, including distributions, redemptions, and new investments, maintaining asset valuation records and calculating regular unitholder distributions.
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis on investment performance and property assets, assisting with trust establishment documentation and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely NAV calculations for investment trusts, preparing detailed investment reports for management, unitholders, and trustees.
  • Reconcile investment accounts and maintain accurate records, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities for investment properties.
  • Liaise with property managers, external stakeholders, and service providers to monitor compliance with investment mandate requirements.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or accounting, preferably with experience in investment accounting or property trust accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, NetSuite, Tech1, or Microsoft Dynamics, and advanced Excel skills with financial modeling capabilities.
  • Knowledge of property investment structures and trust accounting, excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, strong relationship management capabilities, and professional presentation and approach.
