Electrical Systems Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing electrical systems that power our communities.

This is a challenging position that requires strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for designing and controlling electrical systems and products, developing manufacturing and operational standards, and analyzing electrical system requirements and capacity.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a recognized engineering qualification, as well as additional certificate in design. They will also have 10+ years of detailed design/engineering experience in 132kV and above Substation & Transmission Lines in Australia, with a strong understanding of Australian Standards, NER, AEMO, and NSP regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and control electrical systems and products
  • Develop manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational standards, specifications, and designs for electrical systems or components
  • Analyze electrical system requirements, capacity, cost, and project needs and then develop a system plan
  • Product document and record creation, including product reports and design specifications
  • Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a recognized engineering qualification
  • Additional certificate in design is desirable
  • 10+ years of detailed design/engineering experience in 132kV and above Substation & Transmission Lines in Australia
  • Experience in Renewable PV Solar Farm and/or large-scale Battery Storage projects (minimum 100MW)
  • Proficiency in HV substation design and Transmission Lines
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NER, AEMO, and NSP regulations
