Commercial Lending Specialist

Deliver exceptional customer service and foster long-term business relationships by understanding the unique goals and needs of small business customers. Your role will involve facilitating meaningful conversations, providing relevant solutions, and proactively engaging with customers to support their growth and financial wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial lending background, excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for working with small businesses. You will be responsible for originating a range of solutions, including commercial lending up to $1M, asset finance, merchant facilities, and everyday banking solutions.
A key aspect of this role is building awareness of the bank's business banking proposition within the regional business community. This may involve hosting educational events and workshops to support the ongoing financial wellbeing of businesses.
As a Business Banker, you will be accountable for driving business development within your region and supporting the retention of client relationships. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and meet customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Originating commercial lending solutions up to $1M
- Providing proactive customer engagement and solution-finding
- Building awareness of the bank's business banking proposition
- Hosting educational events and workshops
- Driving business development within your region
Required qualifications include experience in commercial lending or B2B sales, home lending and self-employed lending experience, sound financial analysis skills, and excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation and Credit Approval Authority (CAA) Level 1 are also required.
