About Brighter Super, a 100% member-owned Queensland-based superannuation fund, is seeking a skilled finance leader for a pivotal senior leadership role. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversees the full financial control environment.

The successful candidate will lead all statutory financial reporting and APRA/regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with standards and deadlines. They will also oversee the financial control framework, maintaining robust internal controls and accounting policy adherence.

The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, be a Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant, and bring significant financial reporting experience in complex, regulated environments. Deep technical accounting expertise is essential, particularly in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), APRA reporting, and Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) 1056 Superannuation Entities.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
