We are enhancing our Corporate Finance, Treasury & Investor Relations division with a new position dedicated to supporting our global tax operations. Reporting directly to the Group Taxation Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring tax compliance and delivering advisory services to the organization. Additionally, this role offers the chance to gain experience in various finance sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting and taxation, coupled with a robust commercial perspective and familiarity with Australian corporate and international tax laws relevant to large corporations.
This dynamic position, based at our headquarters, fosters a collaborative atmosphere where precision and adaptability to work beyond standard hours are essential for supporting our global business activities.

Daily Responsibilities

Preparing income tax, GST, and FBT submissions across Australia and New Zealand Conducting tax effect accounting analysis and disclosures within management and statutory financial reports Advising on and managing the implications of new and proposed legislation, decisions, regulations, and rulings in taxation while recommending suitable Group responses Assisting in the management of the Group's international tax policies, tax planning, and compliance Aiding in the maintenance of the Group's transfer pricing policy documentation and ensuring adherence across multiple jurisdictions Providing internal tax advisory support to Divisional Accountants Supporting the optimization of tax-efficient cash repatriation Assisting with Group M&A related tasks, due diligence, and other initiatives led by the Corporate Finance & Treasury Team Helping prepare reports for the Audit & Risk Committee Conducting periodic assessments of tax processes to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business CA/CPA/CTA qualified or a Master's in Taxation A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant taxation experience, either in private practice or within a large corporate setting Strong understanding of Australian corporate and international tax legislation applicable to large corporate entities Excellent numerical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, with a keen attention to detail Effective in establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders High level of organizational and communication skills to deliver high-quality, accurate, and efficient taxation services Working at ALS
