Financial Recovery Specialist

This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to manage financial recovery processes, develop positive relationships with clients, and ensure timely payment.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work under pressure. They will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing AR aging reports, managing customized collection systems, administering sales allowances, and reconciling sub-ledger and general ledger accounts.

  • Review and analyze AR aging reports to provide weekly status updates and determine final resolutions for accounts.
  • Manage a customized collection system to document, schedule, track, and bill clients and debtors.
  • Administer sales allowances and controls, including vendor agreements, markdowns, and commercial discounts.
  • Reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger accounts, prepare month-end general ledger entries, and complete budget reconciliations under manager direction.
  • Analyze client payments based on bank movements and verify support documentation for credit notes in SAP.
  • Update customer data, enter credits, and correct account discrepancies.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in credit and collection processes.
  • Excellent computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems, with SAP experience highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage large datasets.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
