Project Director Role

The primary responsibility of the Project Director will be to oversee and manage multiple water-related infrastructure projects. This involves stakeholder management, requirement gathering, business case development, project plans, scope definition, schedules, cost estimates, financial control, and construction management.

About the Position:
  • Develop, maintain project documentation, including business cases, scopes, plans, estimates, and specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date schedules and registers for risk, cost, and scope.
  • Ensure stakeholder communication and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify corporate and project risks within the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the development and delivery of programs to achieve project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary qualification in project management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, quality, safety, and environmental risk management practices.
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and governance.
  • Proficient in SAP and the MS Office suite, including MS Project.
  • Demonstrated skill in report writing and presentation skills, including writing business cases.
  • PMP, CPPM, or PRINCE2 accredited (PMI, AIPM, etc.).
  • Knowledge of water supply operation and maintenance practices, procedures, techniques, and equipment.
