Job Description">

We are seeking a skilled leader to drive the success of our sales team. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a high-performing team of Deskbound Business Development Managers (BDMs) and directly managing your own broker portfolio.

Key responsibilities include coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team through regular feedback and fostering both results and career growth. You will also lead from the front by driving strong pipeline discipline, consistent broker engagement, and a relentless focus on activation.

In addition, you will manage and grow your own broker portfolio, engaging with brokers via phone, email, and digital channels to educate, activate, and deepen relationships. Acting as the key escalation point for complex broker issues, you will support quick and effective resolution.

As an expert guide, you will provide insight into loan structures, products, and processes to deliver value-adding conversations and unlock new opportunities. Collaborating cross-functionally with sales leaders, marketing, credit, and operations teams, you will ensure seamless broker experiences.

Sharing insights and feedback from the market, you will help shape sales strategies, refine products, and drive continuous improvement. Championing a culture of collaboration, innovation, and performance, you will bring Bridgit's values and growth ambitions to life.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a business development, account management, or people leader role within the mortgage, lending, or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated success working with mortgage brokers, aggregators, or related distribution networks.
  • Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to engage, educate, and inspire both brokers and team members.
  • Analytical and results-driven mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Resilient, proactive, and adaptable – comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous team leadership or senior-level sales experience as a mentor/coach in a sales environment is preferred.
