About the Role

We are seeking a values-driven Specialist Practitioner in Family Violence to provide place-based and outreach case management support to women and women with children who have experienced and/or are currently experiencing family violence.

The role will involve delivering high-quality, safe, and effective family violence and child well-being responses to those seeking support, safety, and recovery.

The Family Violence Services works with service users from a feminist perspective, aiming to empower and increase the safety of women and children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation and uphold the principles of the National Family Violence Model of Care.
  • Provide case management support to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice.
  • Ongoing assessment of client issues, needs, and circumstances from initial intake to exit.
  • Develop individual case plans in collaboration with clients, including a range of interventions that address client needs or goals.
  • Implement and actively lead case plans.
Requirements
  • A degree qualification in social work, welfare (social sciences), community development, or a related field is essential.
  • Experience working in the family violence sector is desirable.
  • Experience in specialist family violence and/or child wellbeing work is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated case management experience and skills.
  • Highly developed time management and work prioritization skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required.
  • Relevant child protection requirements, such as a Working with Children check.
  • Current QLD driver's license.
  • Advanced computer skills, including experience in data and record management.
