Family Violence Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Practitioner in Family Violence to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our Family Violence Services, you will provide critical support to women and children who have experienced or are currently experiencing family violence.
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective family violence and child well-being responses to those seeking support, safety, and recovery. You will work closely with clients to establish effective relationships, provide case management support, and develop individual case plans that address their unique needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, upholding the principles of the National Family Violence Model of Care.
- Provide case management support to clients, including intake, assessment, and crisis response.
- Develop and implement individual case plans that address the needs and goals of clients.
- Work collaboratively with clients to empower them and increase their safety and well-being.
- A degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or a related field.
- Experience working in the family violence sector, preferably in specialist family violence and/or child wellbeing work.
- Demonstrated case management experience and skills, including time management and work prioritization.
- Relevant child protection requirements, such as a Working with Children check.
- Current QLD drivers licence.
- Advanced computer skills, including experience in data and record management.
