Site Operations Manager

This is a critical role in our team, supporting the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture.

The position will cover three major sites: Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka), and RAAF Base Wagga.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Engineer/Project Manager in preconstruction, construction, and post-construction stages of projects.
  • Provide engineering expertise for project design, fabrication, and construction to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage contracting operations for allocated projects against agreed objectives.
  • Conduct scoping investigations for scopes of work.
  • Prepare site documentation prior to work commencement.
  • Coordinate and supervise work activities of multiple crews over various locations through the Riverina region.
  • Monitor and control expenditure on jobs to ensure cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Review HOTO documentation, including interpretation and application of drawings, ITPs, and images recorded for each project.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian Citizenship preferred for Defence site entry requirements.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree or similar.
  • Graduate Member of Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) or Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ).
  • Previous experience as a site engineer or graduate engineer in a related industry sector.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Able to work productively in a team environment.
