Strategic Asset Investment Analyst

This is a critical role in developing high-quality business cases and investment proposals that align with strategic objectives and the asset investment plan.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing compelling business cases for sustaining capital projects in line with internal governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrating asset condition, risk, lifecycle cost, and investment rationale into structured proposals.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to validate scope, assumptions, and technical inputs.
  • Leading or coordinating early-stage scoping and cost estimation using historical data and engineering insights.
  • Analysing asset condition, risk, and financial data to support investment prioritisation.
  • Contributing to investment sequencing, bundling, and staging using scenario modelling and cost phasing tools.

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a commercial discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering business cases and asset investment proposals.
  • Strong skill in business case development and stakeholder communication.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills, including DCF analysis and scenario testing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint.
