Position Overview

We are in search of a driven, intelligent, and highly capable law graduate to become part of our practice, guided by Partner David Lee, who is widely acknowledged as a top-tier insurance and litigation attorney.

Such opportunities are exceptional, and the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Partner and senior attorneys, gaining exposure to extensive, high-stakes, multi-party, and/or cross-border litigation. This position involves managing the defense of intricate public liability claims concerning personal injury and property damage.

You will be integrating into a diverse practice that frequently collaborates with our colleagues in London. As we expand our practice, this presents an unparalleled opportunity for an aspiring attorney to establish themselves early in their legal career and acquire expertise while representing both local and international clients. Role Responsibilities

Under the direct guidance of qualified attorneys and Partners, you can anticipate engaging in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Participating in client meetings and teleconferences;
  • Contributing to matter planning discussions;
  • Preparing file notes, memoranda, and summaries of internal discussions and meetings with clients, legal counsel, or relevant third parties;
  • Assisting in the preparation and organization of client files;
  • Drafting, analyzing, and interpreting various legal documents;
  • Composing correspondence and emails to clients and other parties as directed;
  • Drafting court documents;
  • Filing court documents;
  • Assisting in the preparation of witness statements and proposed affidavits for court proceedings;
  • Conducting research and preparing summary memoranda;
  • Liaising with and supporting barristers (i.e., preparing Briefs to Counsel);
  • Staying informed about legal developments within your practice area, contributing to internal awareness and learning sessions;
  • Assisting with business development activities, which may include writing articles for clients on relevant industry updates, preparing client presentations, aiding the business development team in creating capability statements and tender information, and participating in client events.

Clyde & Co Law Graduates/Junior Associates are expected to demonstrate and achieve specific competencies in areas such as technical excellence, teamwork, client relationships, financial and practice management, and personal effectiveness.
