Pastoral Care Volunteer Role

This rewarding role involves supporting the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly people in their homes. As a pastoral care volunteer, you will provide companionship and help individuals feel less isolated.

The local Christian church partners with HammondCare to deliver this vital service, enhancing the lives of clients and promoting connections within the community.

We're a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government.

  • Support people to meet their spiritual needs

Our scheme promotes links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Volunteers can expect to nurture their own spiritual life through regular visits.

Becoming a pastoral care volunteer is an excellent opportunity for those who want to make a positive impact on their community.

To be eligible, applicants must be 18 years or older and possess a National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.

We require a commitment of one hour each week for at least six months. This allows us to build meaningful relationships and provide consistent support to our clients.
