Pastoral Care Role

Support the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly people living in their homes. You will be part of a local Christian church community, supplementing and complementing the work of our Pastoral Care Coordinator.

About Us

We specialise in dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people, and other health and aged services across NSW, ACT, SA, and Victoria.

Your Role

As a pastoral care volunteer, you'll be actively involved with your local community. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting people to meet their spiritual needs

You'll find that as a pastoral care volunteer, you'll nurture your own spiritual life. Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.

Requirements

To become a pastoral care volunteer, you must be 18 years or older and have a National Police Check arranged and paid for by us. You'll need to commit to one hour each week for 6 months or longer, preferably between Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.
