Senior Reliability Engineer Position

Our business is on the cutting edge of innovation, leading the world in a major transformation plan.

The job involves working at Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine, located on traditional lands of indigenous peoples.

The roster is 8 days work followed by 6 days rest, and you will need to be available for FIFO travel from Perth.

We are looking for an engineer with expertise in reliability engineering support, data analysis, project leadership, and defect elimination. The role requires strong planning, problem-solving, organisational, scheduling, and coordination skills. You should have experience with SAP and knowledge of work management systems. Additionally, you should be proficient in MS Office Suite and Navisworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical solutions to improve plant reliability and uptime.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to achieve defect elimination goals.
  • Provide technical advice, recovery planning, investigation, and reporting support.
  • Support shutdowns by resolving implementation issues and ensuring schedules are met.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives to reduce operational expenditure.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering, or trade qualification with relevant industry experience as a Technical Officer.
  • Experience in fixed plant or heavy industry environment, preferably site-based maintenance or reliability experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Competent in MS Office Suite and Navisworks.
