**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Automation Specialist to join our team at Pyramid Global Technologies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of our systems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Administer Changes in Production Environment: You will administer changes in production environments to improve operational health and ensure seamless system performance.

Lead On-Call Activities: You will lead on-call activities to help recover systems and assist with impact analysis and post-mortems.

Partner with Dev Teams: You will partner with development teams to ensure smooth releases and change planning.

Contribute Operational Improvements: You will contribute to operational improvements such as enhanced monitoring or automated recovery scripts.

Support Customer Requests: You will support customer requests by diagnosing issues and either partnering with development to address the issue or providing information for the customer to resolve it.

Analyze ITSM Activities: You will analyze ITSM activities of the platform and provide feedback loops to development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns.

Maintain Services: You will maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.

Scale Systems Sustainably: You will scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.

Support CI/CD Pipeline: You will support the application CI/CD pipeline for promoting software into higher environments through validation and operational gating.

Practice Sustainable Incident Response: You will practice sustainable incident response and blameless post-mortems.

Holistic Problem Solving: You will take a holistic approach to problem solving by connecting the dots during a production event through various technology stacks that make up the platform to optimize meantime to recover.

Global Team Collaboration: You will work with a global team spread across tech hubs in multiple geographies and time zones.

Knowledge Sharing: You will share knowledge and mentor junior resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A High Level of Understanding: A high level of understanding and broad knowledge of computer technology, software development, operations, and problem resolution procedures is required.

Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in script languages like Shell, Python, or Perl are preferred.

OS and Networking Knowledge: Basic knowledge of OS and Networking (Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP, Socket, VPN, Firewall, LB) is required.

Monitoring Experience: Basic knowledge of Monitoring like Splunk, Dynatrace is required.

ITSM Experience: ITSM experience is preferred but not required (e.g., Remedy or Maximo).

Database and SQL Skills: Oracle Database and SQL skills are required.

Java Experience: Java experience is nice to have but not required.

Project Management Experience: Project management, large project support execution, or team leadership experiences are preferred.

Help Desk Experience: Any help desk or customer contact skills or experience are preferred.

Professionalism and Work Ethic: Professionalism and good work ethic skills are required.

Documented Processes and Procedures: Ability to compose, direct others on, and follow documented processes and procedures is required.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
