Job Description

  • \
  • Assess planning aspects, develop timelines, risk assessments, and lead planning and environmental regimes for wind farm projects.\
  • Review project approvals, legislative and permitting requirements, and define project obligations and requirements to inform colleagues on risk and timeline for each item.\
  • Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure clear allocation of responsibilities between project parties.\
  • Collaborate with colleagues and subcontractors to integrate considerations into project design and planning.\
  • Manage environmental or planning consultants as required for specific tasks.\
  • Stay updated on environmental regulations, industry trends, and best practices in renewable energy development.\
  • Support development of environmental management plans to monitor and mitigate impacts during construction and operation.\
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field.\
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental planning, preferably within the renewable energy sector.\
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance requirements.\
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies.\
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.\
  • Knowledge of general civil construction.\
  • Proficiency in GIS and other environmental planning software is a plus.\
  • Knowledge of project approvals, legislative and permitting requirements.\
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.\
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.\
  • Strategic focus with commercial understanding.\
  • Strong Environmental and Safety focus.\
  • Able to work across cultures and foster a supportive team environment.\
  • Willing to travel to wind farm sites across Australia and New Zealand.\
