Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the enhancement of Parks Victoria's practice for regulatory approvals, focusing on quality management systems, process development, and strategic guidance.

  • Lead the progression of a quality management system for Parks Victoria's regulatory approvals.
  • Develop processes, procedures, decision frameworks, and other tools to support organisational compliance with planning and environment regulatory approvals.
  • Provide leadership and authoritative advice to ensure relevant legislation, policies, and procedures are considered during program and project planning practice.
  • Foster productive relationships with internal stakeholders, specialist advisors, government partners, and regulators to identify best practices and practical solutions.
  • Work with specialists within Parks Victoria and externally to provide strategic guidance on delivering priority projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in planning, environmental science, land management, or a similar discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying regulatory approvals legislation, frameworks, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying process improvements and change management relating to complex systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination and/or management of multiple competing projects.
  • A thorough understanding of Victorian legislation and land management principles.
