Job Title: Senior Risk Management Expert

This role is responsible for leading a team of risk management professionals to achieve strategic goals and maintain an exceptional customer experience.

Job Description:

Retail banking services are the face of CommBank, delivering a seamless customer experience. Within this department, Wealth & Private focuses on helping customers grow, manage, and protect their wealth. The Line 1 Risk Chapter works collaboratively with Wealth & Private teams to drive business success and maintain a high Net Promoter Score (NPS).

The Risk Chapter Lead will lead, coach, and support their team, enhancing their capabilities and fostering a proactive risk culture. This enables confident and safe delivery of great customer outcomes.

The successful candidate will provide strategic advice on prioritizing risk mitigation investments, interventions, and improvements that align with Wealth & Private business objectives and governance initiatives. They will also offer expertise and guidance on risk, compliance, and operations management within acceptable limits.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in operational risk management, with a focus on product design, delivery, and oversight. They should possess proven leadership and coaching skills to develop a high-performing team of risk and control professionals.

The successful candidate will be able to simplify complex processes and controls, identify balanced solutions for diverse stakeholders, and demonstrate strong relationship-building and influencing skills to drive effective risk outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
