Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has a unique opportunity for experienced, passionate Enrolled Nurses to join the Non-Acute Medical Ward on a permanent part-time basis. The hospital is a leading provider of healthcare services in Central Queensland, with a rich history dating back over a century.

Our Enrolled Nurses play a vital role in delivering patient-centred clinical care, working collaboratively with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients
  • Implementing evidence-based nursing interventions within their scope of practice
  • Acting as patient advocates, ensuring patients are informed and consent is gained prior to procedures
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and staff
  • Complying with infection control policies and practices

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Recent nursing experience in a hospital setting (at least 12 months post-graduate experience)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team
