Central Queensland Specialist Palliative Care in Aged Care project aims to improve access to specialist palliative care and improve palliative and end-of-life care to residents of aged care facilities, in their place of choosing and avoid unnecessary hospitalisation. This initiative comes under the Australian Government's Better Quality of Care - Comprehensive Palliative Care in Aged Care Measure to support older persons living in Residential Aged Care Facilities.
About the role:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse (RN) appointed to the position with endorsements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner works within current Commonwealth, State and District regulations in relation to expanded authorities in the RAC setting.
About you:
A bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minimum of five years post graduate experience as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
Minimum experience in Palliative Care/Aged Care spanning minimum 2 years is required.
While not mandatory, a relevant post graduate qualification in Palliative Care would be highly regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $88,898 is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $ $78.59 p.h.
