About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement agreements, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of procurement agreements aligned with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Understanding business needs to determine procurement planning and market engagement strategies.
  • Engaging and negotiating with suppliers to deliver value-for-money procurement outcomes.
  • Providing expert advice to senior managers on contract service deliverables.
  • Managing contract performance, identifying financial risks, and recommending solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversighting RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, including drafting, evaluation, and documentation review.
  • Ensuring compliance with privacy, data security, fraud prevention, and integrity policies.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in procurement and supplier engagement within a government environment.
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyse, document, and improve contract services.
  • Independent judgment and problem-solving abilities in complex procurement scenarios.
  • Expertise in influencing strategic decision-making processes.
  • Experience in legal contract review.
